Oak Anvil Woodworks is a small, veteran-owned workshop based in Ocala, Florida, building solid wood furniture designed for daily life in homes and local businesses. The goal is uncomplicated: make pieces that feel right in real spaces and hold up to real routines.
Wood is honest material. Grain shifts, knots, and natural variation are part of what makes it worth building with. My job is to select materials for strength, build with intention, and finish each piece for long-term use.
The standard stays the same: make it solid, make it useful, and make it last. Built to be leaned on, bumped into, gathered around, and still standing years from now.
“Make it sturdy first. Make it honest second. Finish it last.”
I’m a disabled veteran. After the Army, I wanted work that was steady and tangible, the kind that rewards patience and precision and ends the day with real progress you can point to. In the shop, the work is measurable: a board gets squared, a frame tightens up, a piece becomes something you can trust.
Woodworking keeps me grounded. It’s craft, routine, and purpose in one place. The result is furniture built with a clear standard and a quiet respect for the spaces it ends up in.
The Pieces page shows finished work with photos, specifications, and status. If a piece is available, the listing will be linked directly from its page. If it’s sold, it stays here as a reference for future builds.
Oak Anvil also works with local businesses that want durable, locally built furniture with a straightforward story behind it. If you’re outfitting a restaurant, lobby, office, or community space, the best starting point is a finished piece you like.
If something here feels familiar in a good way, that’s the point. Furniture should earn its place.
